Eden glavnih ciljev projekta je bil približati umetnost mladim, jim pokazati, da se lahko izrazijo skozi različne umetniške forme. Predvsem, da so lahko kreativni, se jih je spodbudilo k sodelovanju in ustvarjanju predstave. Drugi izmed ciljev je bil ustvariti predstavo, ki je povezovala ples, poezijo, glasbo, vizualno, slikarsko in video umetnost. Udeleženci so sami doprinesli s svojimi idejami, delali na posameznih točkah, ki se jih je na koncu združilo v eno urno predstavo. Ne samo, da so sodelovali pri nastajanju, hkrati so sodelovali tudi pri izvedbi – nastopanju. Mnogoteri so prvič javno nastopali na tak način, kjer so se tudi spopadli z lastnim strahom in premagovanjem le tega. Dokazali so, da smo skupaj močnejši in se z nastopanjem, raznimi umetniškimi izražanji lahko pokažejo in spoznajo v drugi luči. Na ta način smo si želeli, da jih motiviramo in pokažemo, da je mladinsko delo lahko tudi zabavno in umetniško ter lahko te kompetence sedaj nesejo s sabo nazaj v lokalo okolje, mogoče priredijo tam kaj podobnega.

One of the main aims of the project was to bring young people closer to the arts, to show them that they can express themselves through different artistic forms. Above all, they were encouraged to be creative, to participate and to create a performance. Another of the objectives was to create a performance that combined dance, poetry, music, visual, painting and video art. Participants brought their own ideas, worked on individual points, which were finally combined into a one-hour performance. Not only did they participate in the process of creation, they also participated in the performance – they performed.  For many, it was the first time they had performed in public in this way, where they also faced and overcame their own fears. They have shown that we are stronger together and that by performing and expressing ourselves in different artistic ways, we can show and get to know each other in a different light. In this way, we wanted to motivate them and show them that youth work can be fun and artistic, creative and that they can now take these experiences back with them to the local environment and maybe do something similar.

Izvedli smo eno aktivnost in sicer aktivnost mladinske izmenjave, ki je potekala od 14. junija do 23. junija 2023, na Hodošu in v Murski Soboti, v Sloveniji. Mladinske izmenjave se je udeležilo 49 mladih iz Slovenije, Estonije, Romunije, Portugalske, Madžarske, Grčije, Bolgarije in Slovaške. Udeleženci smo prihajali iz različnih ozadjih in smo k projektu pristopili z različnimi pričakovanji ter pogledi na umetnost. Med udeleženci smo bili predvsem mladinski delavci, dijaki srednjih šol, študenti na fakultetah, mladi brezposelni, mladi nezmožni za delo in mladi, ki se srečujemo z različnimi ovirami v vsakdanjem življenju.

We carried out one activity, a youth exchange activity that took place from 14^th of June to 23^rd of June 2023, in Hodoš and Murska Sobota, Slovenia. The youth exchange was attended by 49 young people from Slovenia, Estonia, Romania, Portugal, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria and Slovakia. The participants came from different backgrounds and approached the project with different expectations and perspectives on art. The participants were mainly youth workers, secondary school students, university students, unemployed young people, young people unable to work and young people facing various obstacles in their daily lives.

Rezultati so bili uspešni. Sama predstava je bila precejšen uspeh, kar smo videli tako na obrazih udeležencev kot tudi obiskovalcev. V samo nekaj dneh so mladi iz več držav ustvarili predstavo s svojimi kreativnimi idejami, talenti kot tudi izzivi. Vsi so dali vse od sebe in pričarali krasen šov. Občinstvo je bilo tako navdušeno, da so na koncu še ostali in plesali z nastopajočimi. Pri udeležencih se je res videlo koliko jim to pomeni, da so tako slišani kot videni. Učinek je bil tako močan, da so nekateri ob prihodu domov postali bolj umetniško navdušeni, kjer so v roke vzeli instrument ali začeli pisat glasbo ali se ponovno udeleževat plesnih klasov. Lokalnemu okolju so ponudili nekaj kar še ni bilo ustvarjeno na izmenjavi v tako hitrem času, kot tudi vse izkušnje, inspiracijo nesli s sabo domov v svoje države. Definitivno je bil učinek izjemno pozitiven.

The results have been successful. The performance itself was a great success, as we could see on the faces of the participants and the audience alike. In just a few days, young people from several countries put on a show with their creative ideas, talents and challenges. They all gave their best and put on a great show. The audience was so impressed that they stayed and danced with the performers at the end. You could really see on the participants faces how much it meant to them to be both heard and seen. The effect was so strong that some of them became more artistically inclined when they got home, where they picked up an instrument or started writing music or taking dance classes again. They offered something to the local environment that had not been created in such a short time on exchange, as well as taking all the experience, the inspiration, back home to their own countries. Definitely the impact has been extremely positive.
